Evenness: what it measures, what moves it
Evenness is one of 17 biomarkers SKINLINK scores on every scan. Healthy range: 75+ even. This is what drives it and how to move the needle.
Evenness on Indian skin behaves differently from the Western dermatology playbook. Our model is calibrated for Fitzpatrick III–VI tones, Indian climate (humidity, UV, AQI), and the cultural realities of Indian routines.
What drives evenness: UV, PIH, melasma, hormonal cycles. Most of these are addressable in 4–8 weeks of consistent routine.
What moves it: daily SPF 30+, niacinamide 5%, vitamin C 10–15% AM, azelaic acid 10% PM. Track week-over-week — small consistent gains compound.
How SKINLINK measures it: ΔE color variance across 64-cell facial grid. Your score updates every scan and feeds your daily GlowScore.
FAQ
What's a good evenness score?
75+ even. Below that, your routine needs adjustment; above, hold steady.
How long until evenness improves?
Most users see measurable gains in 4–8 weeks with consistent routine. Pigmentation and elasticity take longer (8–16 weeks).
Is the biomarker score clinically validated?
Our model is benchmarked against dermatologist visual scoring and Visia-class imaging. It's directional, not diagnostic — see a derm for clinical concerns.
